American Samoa national flag was officially adopted on April 24th in the year of 1960. This flag has a blue color as its background. On this blue background there is a white triangle that is bordered by a red color. This white triangle stretches from the outer flying side to the hoisting side of the flag. On the white side there is a white and brown American eagle which is carrying a staff and a war club. While the eagle indicates Samoa 's connection with United States, the staff and the club denotes the traditional symbol of power for the Samoan leaders. ⚠ Prop 65 WARNING
